our love story

Our story began very briefly, backstage at the Mr. LCMR pageant, our senior year of high school in May 2014! Tiffany, who did not go to Lower, had been performing in Mr. LCMR pageants and LCMR talent shows since she was in middle school because the majority of her dance team attended Lower Township schools! In our senior year, Tiffany was performing with a group of her friends when a mutual friend introduced her to her group of guy friends, Doug included. Doug was rocking his wrestling singlet (of course), ready to go on for his friend’s talent of Synchronized Swimming!

Fast forward to 2016, after two years of college, the Navy, and just life in general, Tiffany and Doug reconnected in the new year and would go on talking through the next few months! July 2016, Doug was given a last minute +1 to a family wedding and asked Tiffany if she wanted to go (on Thursday for a Saturday wedding). Probably the best yes Tiffany could have said, thus far, when she agreed to go to the wedding with Doug! A week later, August 8, 2016 was the first day of the official relationship! Tiffany and Doug made it through years of long distance while Tiffany went to school at UD and Doug was in the Navy stationed in Virginia.  

On January 5, 2019 Doug (with the help of two of Tiffany’s closest friends and Peg, of course) proposed in Cape May at Rotary Park in front of the Christmas Tree! Friends and family hid nearby and they got to celebrate with everyone all night long!! 

Now, almost 8 years later from the start of their relationship and over 5 years later after their engagement, Tiffany and Doug have made it through college, the Navy, two deployments, nursing school, and of course the long distance…finally making it to the much-anticipated wedding day! 

We cannot wait to celebrate with all of our friends and family in October 2024!
